Anyone who is not a computer wiz needs Vista explained in plain English without all the jargon and terminology that some use to describe Microsoft Vista. There has been a lot of buzz around the software and some of the problems there have been. It’s time to demystify Vista with simple language that can be understood by everyone. I know there are people out there who know all the terminology but there are also others who are just going to buy a new computer with the new software already installed. This is just fine, but even these people need to know what they’re buying with a simple pros and cons list.

One of the major points for the positive side is the new interface of Vista. You will see no better graphics with any other version than you will with this software. Everything runs smoother, sleeker, and more impressively. There are sharper images for an experience like no other. In addition, the new software is easier to use than previous versions as well. This is a plus for all those people looking for simple navigation through the system. Finally, the major improvement is the higher level of security. As we all know, P.C. are extremely susceptible to all sorts of spy ware, viruses, and other harmful programs. With Vista, you are safer than every before. Basically, you will get a good looking, safer, and easier to use computer.

With the pros out of the way, the cons come screeching in. One of the largest complaints is that the new software takes up a little bit too much RAM. It uses up too much of a computers memory for most peoples taste. The second problem is that there are too many bugs that have not been worked out yet. Many people are not willing to take the plunge for this reason. People are not willing to buy something for $150 that they then have to test as well. The final problem is that the software is not compatible with some hardware. This means that if you have a computer which is more than 2 years of age, you might be risking a problem with compatibility which may cause some of your computer to stop working.

Now that you know what the pros and cons of Microsoft Vista are, be sure to make the decision that best fits your situation. If you planned on buying a new machine, you could still do so and get the new software already installed. With this solution, you prevent any problems with compatibility. If you want to upgrade your old P.C. you can test Vista, but if you have trouble, just revert back to XP.

From October 26 2006, to March 15 Microsoft decided they would give coupons to people in order to allow them to upgrade there newly bought XP computer and turn it into a Vista machine when it comes out. This was just a way for PC sellers to try and increase those computer and software sales.

Vista already cam out and people have been having some trouble with these upgrades, wondering if it is even worth all the trouble. Supposedly, you buy a computer with the old software in it and then later it is upgraded. The problem comes when it is time to upgrade. In some places, they make you pay shipping and handling. In other cases, you are forced to fork over an extra $50.

Once you get your hands on the Vista software, you have to spend the time to install it! I don’t know about you but I get a lot of viruses so I know the drill when it comes to graphics cards, printer, and other program instillation but do you really want to spend the few hours (at least) to upgrade your PC? Don’t you think that if you are going to buy a new PC, you would rather have the software already installed?

I know I can get a new PC with the latest gadgets and highest quality parts for about $1200. If I bought Vista right now, I would only be spending $150 for Vista bringing it to $1350. If you buy a new PC in a store like the one I could have built it would cost $3000 plus Vista.

Well, this is basically all there is to those Vista express coupons. The offers are still there. Now they offer computers with Vista already installed. If you really want Vista, I would just wait until you have to buy a new machine and buy one with Vista installed. By then, they should clear some bugs.
