Despite the work Vista developers have placed into creating software that could not be pirated or cracker, people have still figured out how to do it. All over the net you can find such files for download with simple destruction with simple searches of Google or yahoo.

Despite the juvenile nature of this Endeavour, it is still rather genius of the fellows who were responsible. The software contains NMware image file and a visual basic script that acts as a fake activation server. The cracker then also looks for a vista image file and can then successfully crack there own version of Vista.

The reason crackers were able to do this was thanks to the mass activation key provided to business. A number of these keys slipped out into the general public allowing all who use the crack to successfully continue the process without a problem.

Supposedly, there is a security feature for Microsoft that forces users to phone in the reactivation of the software every 180 days. This is not only bothersome for the legitimate user but also wastes quite a bit of time. Why should the legitimate user have to suffer for the wrong doings of others anyway?

For anyone who decides they want to crack a copy of vista for themselves, think again. Imagine the hacker decided to redirect activation of the software to their server. All they would have to do is throw in a little remote access trojan and he has his own botnet server which can send countless spam emails about penny stocks and other scams as well as infect computers with viruses.
It is recommended that all buy a legitimate version of Microsoft Vista to stay safe and ensure quality. If you decide to crack a version for yourself, please make sure to prepare yourself for any problems you may have.

Chances are, if your reading this article you’re either having this problem, reading about it to see if you will have this problem if you upgrade, or just reading for fun. This only pertains to people who are using language packs in the first place so if your not, you can breath your sigh of relief. If you are, you may have to worry because the upgrade option will not work for you. Luckily there is a work around for this problem.

This problem doesn’t even affect every language pack user only a certain number of languages including, Bulgarian, Croation, Estonian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Romanian, Serbian-Latin, Slovic, Slovanian, Thai, and Ukranian. Also, if you have are currently running Windows XP Tablet edition you will only have to worry if you have a language pack for Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Hungraian, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Polish, Spanish, Swedish and, Turkish. Finally, if you installed, Media Center Edition 2005 Update Rollup 2 supports to support other languages you will be affected because this does not change the language of the operating system only the media center and you can’t upgrade an English operating system to another language.

To install Vista you will have to follow the instructions for a custom instillation. Before you continue you must remember to install all your programs, you must preserve all the setting of your computer and, you will not be able to keep the programs from XP. To perform a custom installation first you insert the DVD and install. Then, when you reach the point where you must choose what type of instillation you want to do notice that you can’t. Click custom (advanced) and then continue. You will then get a message saying that your setting have been placed in windows.old. Then you can continue with the rest of the instillation. If you want to locate your old files, they will be in windows.old that you can find by searching for that folder name. That’s all you have to do. I hope you enjoy Vista and take advantage of all it has to offer.

If you are a student this is an important little bit of information. Blackboard is the name of a program that allows students, teachers, and colleges to communicate easily and safely together. In some cases, your grade will depend on weather or not you receive certain information through this program so it must be functional.

The problem seems to be that the announcement feature does not work like it’s supposed to. This means that if are experiencing this problem, you will not be able to compose any kind of a message. This can be critical when a student tries to contact a teacher or when a teacher tries to broadcast an assignment to his/her students.

To remedy this problem a variety of solutions have been published. This problem actually has multiple culprits so I will be going beyond Vista related solutions as well as solutions that are just precautionary measures.

Disable the Microsoft WYSIWYG editor

1) Log into blackboard using your states portal

2) Select the “personal information” button from the tools on the left of all blackboard screens

3) Select, “set text editor options” and choose,”Unavailable” under Set Availability.

This should do the trick. You should now be able to work blackboard fine.

Changing your Browsing History

This is to make sure your settings are saved in your computer

1) Click on “tools” and select, “internet options”

2) Click on the, “General” tab and click, “settings”

3) In “temporary internet files” click the radio button that says, “every time I visit a webpage”

Now you have successfully changed the WYSIWYG editor which stands for, “what you see is what you get”. Basically, it is a code based program that allows you to change font and size without having to hand code everything. Apparently a problem arose with this program. Changing your browsing History will allow you to keep the changed settings so you won’t have a problem until blackboard is updated.

The Problem

You just installed Microsoft Vista and you decide it’s time to open Yahoo messenger and send and instant message to a friend but it won’t work! This is not only a problem for you, it is a problem for all Yahoo! messenger users. Since one computer uses Vista and the user of the other computer users XP, the messenger does not work. Sadly, there is no updated version out at the present, but there is one in the works, and boy, does it sound amazing!

Problem With Yahoo! Voice

In addition to the messenger not working, other features of the messenger, for example, the voice feature that allows you to have a speaking conversation with another user, also does not work. The reason for this problem is the same as the reason for the chat messenger not working as well.

New Features Of Yahoo! Messenger

Some of the new features of Yahoo! messenger will include new stunning graphics that will correspond with Vistas graphics. You will see amazing new emoticons that really look more like people instead of cartoons. That’s not a huge improvement but it gets better. In addition, you will also be able to change the look and feel of your messenger to compliment your desktop. This really doesn’t effect me, but it may bother others who think there messenger “clashes” with there outfits.

For those with interests, the new version will group your friends in your Yahoo interests. This way, you will know all the interests of all the new people you meet allowing you to talk more fluently. this feature will surely improve the conversations of people who are afraid to talk about things that may not be of any interest to the other. Now you can finally discuss the fiscal policy of the United States with that girl you just met seeing that she is grouped in the politics area.

Another great little added feature is one that allows you to add all your contacts from Windows Live to your Yahoo contact list. This will allow you to IM all your friends using one messenger. (I guess this is a way to capitalize on the instant messenger business and drive people away from Windows live…but shhh…don’t let them know to your new found knowledge…just go with it.)

Finally, the other new features allow you to organize your conversations better through new drag and drop tab features. Also, the new Yahoo! Messenger sidebar tool will allow you to better see who is online and ready to talk.

Although Yahoo! messenger is not ready yet, you can look forward to a new version coming out. This version is better than the one your using now. If you don’t have Vista and are not considering making the change, you may not have to because I’m sure Yahoo! will come out with a version for XP users as well.

Lately, many people have been complaining that there computer has been shutting down on its own. Now I don’t know if it has to do with Vista but I thought it could be related since Vista takes up a large amount of memory. A laptop that overheats will shut itself off to prevent damage and injury of the user. Another culprit of this problem may also be with your hardware but that’s another story and requires a deeper analysis of your laptop.

The Symptom’s of Your Computer

If you notice that your laptop is shutting off on its own, you might have to think about the vents and cooling components of your computer. Also, if you use your computer on your lap, it is more likely to overheat because it is harder for vents to work against your legs and pants. On a hard surface, there is more ventilation. When your laptop does shut down is it very warm? This is a sign that overheating is the problem in your situation.

Solving the Problem

It is not 100% certain that overheating is your laptops problem but if it is, your in luck. To fix this problem you can pay someone else or you can do it yourself with a can of compressed air. All you need to do is follow these simple instructions found on, http://www.whatlaptop.co.uk/Forums/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=192552. The following are instructions to clean a laptop vent in 3 simple steps:

1) Unscrew each of the screws on the underside of your laptop. Then remove the cover.

2) Now, remove dust and other debris from the vents, fan, and heatsinks. You can also use a toothpick for harder to reach places. Make sure not to puncture anything or damage any of the circuitry during the process. Also, refrain from using your fingers because you will leave oils that attract dirt.

3) Take the can of compressed air and shoot it into the vents. One important tip is to place that toothpick you used earlier to keep the fan from spinning by lodging it in between two of the blades. This will prevent them from being damaged while gusts of air push through.
Now, when you turn on your laptop you should see the difference immediately. If your computer continues to shut down, overheating may not have been a problem. For this you must figure some other failure occurred.

If you had a similar problem, please let us know what it was and how you fixed it. If you have a problem now, please let us know and perhaps we can help you. This is a great little community of learners and I love to help anyone who needs it.

This means that if you are used to having your I-tunes on all the time transfering music for yourself to listen to on the bus, do not buy vista. Basically, there is an error that comes up when you try to add new content to your I-pod and those files are then lost.

For all of those free music downloaders who live off of their I-pods, here is the justice for you. Microsoft sees the competition in apple so their new O.S. which has been 5 YEARS in the making just happens to have problems running Apples most popular product. This might not have been a smart move (if it done on purpose) because I-pod users might not buy Vista just because of this problem.

This is only the second day of this website and already all we are seeing is nothing but problems. Don’t worry, the next post will be good, I promise.

I know you are dying to know what problems the new O.S. has right? Of course, if you are going to shovel out $250.00 to buy it, you will want to know what the problems with Microsoft Vista are. What I have done, is search the net as well as used my experiences with the software to create a composite list and description of the different problems expected with Microsoft Vista.

Keep in mind that this software has been 5 years in the making. It is extremely evident that large quantities of work has been placed in this software from first glance. The first problem is that the lotus program has compatibility problems. Lotus notes is a program that basically helps with collaborator projects and such. If you are not using Vista for your business, this problem really is not a problem for you.

In some cases, people’s computer software were not compatible with Vista meaning they have to go out and buy a new computer. Chances are these people do not have the knowledge to build their own computers because these people usually rebuild there computers once every few years. If you bought your computer any time in the past 4 years or so, you shouldn’t have any problem.

Finally, one problem you have to make sure of which could also be seen with other versions is the compatibility of other software with Vista. Again, this is a problem with Microsoft Vista as well as previous versions; nevertheless, it’s still a problem. If you have certain software you need, make sure it is compatible and if it isn’t, hold off on buying Vista and wait until new versions of the vital software are out.

Be sure to constantly check in for updates on the problems with Microsoft Vista because as time goes by, I’m sure we are going to see crashing and other common problems. Please do not take this article the wrong way though, Vista is still the best of the previous versions of the award winning software series and the may years of development show.
